Julian and Marco first met in San Antonio, Texas during the Fall of 2018. Marco had recently moved to San Antonio from his hometown of Kermit, Texas. A small West Texas oil town — population of 6,200.

Their chance encounter took place in the least likely of places…a public library! Julian was on his way out after concluding a speaking engagement and Marco was fumbling around trying to figure out driving directions to downtown. After a brief exchange of hello’s and coincidentally parking next to one another, Julian offered to be Marco’s tour guide of the city. Now, the exact timing of what happened next is often in dispute. Julian tells a story of Marco “blowing up his phone” minutes afterwards. Marco holds to “not minutes, but several hours”. In whatever timing truly existed, it led to a first date several days later where Julian showed Marco all that downtown has to offer in a thoughtfully planned whirlwind of a first date.

For the past six years, Julian and Marco have lived their lives to the fullest. They’ve traveled, adventured, toiled and lazed, gotten themselves lost and found again. They’ve renovated a home together, installed a pool, and sold that home six weeks later to do it all over again and build a new one. They’ve chased deals on Facebook marketplace, roadtripped, survived a pandemic, raised two gentle hearted labs named Mason and Lola, experienced incredible wins and suffered immeasurable losses. Through it all, they’ve been each other’s best friend, making every moment that much more sweet.

After 6 years together, they can’t wait to celebrate with all of you on October 11, 2024.
